Wellness Responsibilities

  • Employs strong organizational, customer-service, communication, and analytic skills to assist with oversight of wellness coverage and service line programming, billing, and membership.

  • As a service provider with exceptional knowledge, expertise, compassion, and communication savvy, maintains a 98% customer retention rate and 3x customer acquisition. Responsible for teaching group fitness classes and personal training for participants in the LifeFit Wellness program. Specifically, responsible for assessing client needs, setting goals, and facilitating the client’s progress toward each goal. Utilizes behavioral and motivational interviewing techniques, as well as standard fitness and health assessments to develop individualized and client-centered exercise prescription and periodization. Uses effective coaching skills to improve client mobility, stability, strength, endurance, power, technique, and performance by leading clients to correct and consistent form. Continually monitors client progression, measuring and re-assessing as needed. Remains informed on recent research to ensure all exercise programming decisions are valid and reliable. Incorporates behavioral models of learning and cognition (from past experience in education) to improve delivery and timing of coaching input, as well as content.

  • Using risk factor assessment, provides client education on the importance of lifestyle modification for the maintenance and prevention of chronic diseases. Responsible for client wellness within Phase III as well as Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs. Utilizes background in Statistics and Neuroscience to assist in implementing training programs and exercise prescription for special needs populations. Uses behavioral analytics to examine frequency, duration, and latency of high-risk behaviors. Employs linear regression analysis to determine limiting factors for strategic planning and client-centered goal-setting.

  • Responsible for maintaining databases and extracting data for analysis. Specifically, responsible for monthly reports on revenue, staff productivity (units of service redeemed), personal training (revenue, units of service, client demographic data, staff acquisition & staff retention), and group fitness (attendance between and within each instructor, class format, timeslot, day of the week, week of the month, and monthly descriptive statistics). Analyzes results of each statistical report in support of operational functions, identifying areas to enhance program efficiency as needed. Uses results to promote new opportunities for growth within Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Within first year of employment, assisted in 48.9% increase in group fitness attendance and 114.5% increase in training services revenue. Within second year of employment, assisted in 34.70% increase in group fitness attendance and 114.51% increase in training services revenue.

  • Accelerates growth with new service lines that generate predictable recurring revenue. Acts as an innovative brand champion and customer recruiter in marketing, product development, and communications. Utilizing big-picture thinking and rigorous execution, created, designed, and developed LifeFit’s premier training service: Body Makeover. Designed program as a means to fill market demand with low-start up cost and high return on investment. Marketed brand to drive program enrollment, membership sales, personal training sales, and group fitness class attendance. Running at full capacity each season it is offered, Body Makeover now yields a net profit of 53%. As a versatile writer and editor committed to speaking directly to reader’s needs, prepared all educational material for program participants including a 500-page text book.

  • Collaborate with Marketing department to write content for local Newspaper, Blog, Social Media, and Website.

Data Science & Analytics Consulting

  • Executive Dashboard:

    • Created an executive dashboard to monitor daily admissions (MTD, monthly projections, last month, last year this month), ER visits, total surgeries, total births, and patient revenues (out patient, inpatient).

    • Dashboard used by executives and department heads to extrapolate current pattern, trends, and risks likely to effect administrative outcomes and/or budget.

  • Population Health:

    • Sat on the board upon its creation; participated in starting the population health program which sought to reduce the total patient investment needed by the healthcare system to achieve a unit of improvement in clinical outcomes by engaging patients in their own health

    • Wrote strategic plan by identifying precise patient registries, identifying patient-provider attribution, categorizing precise metrics in patient registries, identifying ways to analyze clinical and cost metrics, create basic clinical practice guidelines and risk management outreach, acquiring access to external data (including clinical encounter data, cost data, laboratory test results, pharmacy data), establishing a means of communication with patients to educate and engage with them, coordinate the care team, and track specific outcomes

    • Identified measures of success for population health committee efforts through goal setting, modeling, forecasting, and monitoring of KPIs to understand trends.

    • Designed and drove the creation of new standards and best practices in the use of statistical data modeling in population health management.

  • Community Health:

    • Collaborated with a team to publish the 2016 and 2019 Community Health Needs Assessment, a provision of the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

    • Gathered and analyzed quantitative and qualitative data obtained from the community health needs survey and used the data to identify prevalent health issues in Beaufort county and benchmark them against regional data

    • Used broad social determinants of health to identify influences on health issues, including environment, behavior, socioeconomics, and culture

    • Identified resources and resource gaps, and health disparities
